Armenia, Iran Aim to Strengthen Ties
“We concurred that it is high time to work toward elevating the relations between our countries to the level of strategic partnership,” Pashinyan stated during a joint press briefing alongside Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who was visiting Yerevan.

Pashinyan expressed optimism that President Pezeshkian’s visit would contribute to deepening ties between the two nations.
He emphasized Armenia’s strong appreciation for Iran’s position on the country’s “territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders.”
He also highlighted that both countries have agreed on constructing a second bridge along their shared border, aiming to further enhance their commercial exchange.
According to him, Armenia and Iran are committed to expanding their collaboration in sectors such as economy, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, culture, and environmental protection.
He also pointed out the ongoing active political dialogue between the two sides.
President Pezeshkian, in his remarks, reaffirmed Iran’s intention to broaden its relationship with Armenia in “all areas.”
He emphasized, “Based on the atmosphere of trust, we have great will to develop the level of cooperation. We can increase the level of cooperation, especially in the field of the economy.”
